Quick Start
Opening a new account
1. Open an account
Surf to eToro and create an account either by giving your credentials, either by logging in using a Facebook or Google account.
You now have a free account with USD 100.000 virtual money. Virtual money allows you to discover eToro, open and close trades, and start copying people without having to risk your own money.
2. Verify your account
If you want to top up your account with real money, you will need to verify your account first. eToro asks a series of questions have better insight in your trading purposes, a phone number registration and an ID-registration. Once your account is verified, you are able to deposit funds into your account.
3. Add funds
Now before adding real funds, make sure you understand how the platform works using your virtual money. If you feel comfortable enough for adding funds, click the 'Deposit funds' button to top up your trading account through your debit- or credit card, PayPal or other platforms. Now you are ready to start trading.

Real vs. Virtual allows you to change between your real money portfolio and your virtual money portfolio.
Not sure yet whether you would like to invest in an asset, but you want to keep a close eye on its developments. Make sur to save it under one of your Watchlists.
Wanna have a look at how your investments are performing? Get a quick glance under Portfolio.
You would like to know what is socially happening on eToro? Click on News Feed to get an overview of other traders' posts, insights, market reviews, etc.

Discover
Looking for assets in which you would like to invest in? In the Trade Markets section you will find all individual assets that are tradeable on eToro, like stocks, bonds, commodities, ETFs, .... Are you more interested in having an overview of the different persons that you can follow, of which you can copy their portfolio? Then you must click on the Copy People. The Invest in CopyFunds allows for trading in mutual funds, either created by eToro, either by eToro's partners.
